Before Supriya Lele showcases her upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 collection at London Fashion Week on September 20, the fast-rising British-Indian designer who made her debut in 2017 has launched a collectable series of timepieces with Swatch.

Out now in stores, the timely collaboration of five timepieces from Swatch's slim-slash-minimalist Skin Classic line has been given Lele's signature design treatment.

That means a sensuous exploration of her Indian heritage, in which she referenced the softness of saris and the vibrancy of Madras checks as prints on the bio-sourced 34mm plastic watches. (Die-hard fans may recognise the patterns and colourways from her previous collections.)

The motifs featured on the Swatch Skin Classic watches are reminiscent of the colours and prints from Supriya Lele's former collections.

"The Swatch Skin Classic provided the perfect canvas, and is worn almost like a second skin – the light, minimalist look and feel has many synergies with my creative vision," she says in a statement.

Ahead, a look at what's in store.
