We stan a winner, and Pierre Gasly, 29, will always be in our hearts. The F1 Alpine driver and H. Moser & Cie. ambassador won the Italian Grand Prix with AlphaTauri in 2020, a win he cherishes till today. Now signed to Alpine with a new deal until 2028, Gasly is eager to challenge race titles and collect victories along the way. Perhaps Singapore might be his lucky win?
Pierre Gasly looks relaxed at a group interview for the launch of the Streamliner Tourbillon watch
Just before this weekend’s Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix race, Gasly, who looks dashing in a beige Louis Vuitton suit, joined CEO Edouard Meylan and his brother Bertrand Meylan to unveil the latest H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly watch at Le Pristine Restaurant, Grand Hyatt Singapore last night (1 October).
The Need For Speed
When asked how he balances the need for winning and doing what he loves most, he tells F ZINE in a private H. Moser & Cie. event : “I enjoy winning so (laughs). Ultimately I enjoy the process as I love racing. I love most of the things that come with it. I love the competition, the work process, teamwork and the emotion that it gives. As an athlete, I wish I could say I won half of my races, which I didn’t (smiles) but then it makes you appreciate it.”
Gasly continues to stress that he works hard for a goal and the targets and that is why he wakes up every single day, doing what he does because he wants to be a champion again.
“I find that process amazing; I know my purpose and I know what I’m doing. I don’t get to win every single weekend race but when it comes, it gives me extreme emotions which I am looking forward to,” Gasly flashes a smile at us.
BAKU, AZERBAIJAN - SEPTEMBER 21: Oliver Bearman of Great Britain and Haas F1 and Pierre Gasly of France and Alpine F1 talk on the drivers parade prior to the F1 Grand Prix of Azerbaijan at Baku City Circuit on September 21, 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Racing in a machine that can peak around 370 km/h (230 mph), almost faster than most trains, we imagine the rigorous training and adrenaline that comes with the job. Gasly touches on the fears that envelop each race season as he suits up for the competition.
He says, “You feel, as a kid, you don’t really understand the race—that’s why you’re so pure and genuine as you’re going out into the world and not really thinking about fears. I saw my mum shaking near the race track and I didn’t understand why; I’m doing my thing, and I know what I’m doing. But she’s always scared that I get hurt on the race tracks. I didn’t really have to overcome fears; every time you go to the next step, you drive cars that go faster and faster.”
The Streamliner Tourbillon Design And The Process Of Watchmaking
The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly watch is a gorgeous creation resulting from a direct design input by Gasly himself.
“I have always been fascinated by this mechanism. There’s something almost hypnotic about its constant balletic motion. Its precision and technical excellence also draw parallels with the world of F1”, he explains.
Gasly was involved at every stage of the creation of the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly, from the choice of movement to the colour of the dial. Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., enthuses: “From the moment we first met, Pierre had a very clear idea of what he wanted. We offered him dozens of alternatives to challenge him, to push him off the beaten track. But each time, true to his instincts, he returned to this piece. His own, as we now present it”.
There are two versions of the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly: One features a Chocolate rubber strap, and the other on a full red gold bracelet with a ruby on the 10 o’clock.
Two variants have been designed for this exceptional model, the result of a particularly successful collaboration. The first, produced in a limited edition of one hundred, comes with a chocolate-coloured rubber strap that emphasises the piece’s sport-chic character. The second, much more exclusive version, is limited to only ten pieces. Ten, like Pierre’s racing number – to which he is very attached.
On top of the red gold bracelet colour and a red ruby placed discreetly at ten o’clock, Gasly is obsessed with the tourbillon: “There is something about the movement; I appreciate the make of it, the refined movement. I could be looking at the tourbillon for an hour and it gets my mind blowing.”
It’s a well-timed launch event to announce it on the occasion of the Singapore Grand Prix, but we can only think of how much that wrist candy is fire and the only thing worth measuring is the present moment.
