They're the instantly recognisable flagship models that horology brands bring back season after season. Here's why you'll dig their latest iterations.

Cartier's Ballon Bleu de Cartier Serti Vibrant  Anchored by its blue cabochon crown, the watch goes all Liberace with 123 brilliant-cut diamonds on the dial (there's even more on the bracelet and bezel), and it's designed to jiggle as you move.

Bulgari's Lucea  The original style, which debuted last year, came with a graphic yet sophisticated bracelet. The latest has more of an old-world charm, with a nude-toned alligator skin strap and pink gold bezel.

Chanel's Premiere Rock  The French label brings the edge to its chain-link timepiece. Choose from a chunkier, double-looped version, or the triple-looped style seen here that's intertwined with leather – both are inspired by the kind of accessories one wears to a rock gig.
