3 Epic Brunch Events In Singapore To Check Out This Weekend

Talk about being spoilt for choice: There's a boozy brunch for meat-lovers, a Japanese ale party and a wellness retreat promoting conscious consumption taking place this Saturday, August 27.

#1: Meatdecker

Burgers, barbecue and booze - what better way is there to kick off the weekend? Duxton Hill establishment Meatliquor has teamed up with Southern Texas barbecue aficionados Decker Barbecue to create a menu full of the most flavourful, meat-heavy plates for this one-day-only event. A must-try: The Triple Decker, a tantalising medley of slow-smoked chopped beef brisket, pulled pork and sausages atop a soft bun. Prices aren't exorbitant (they range from $15 to $20++ per dish), and there'll also be specially crafted cocktails to sample throughout the day. Other fun activities on the agenda: Laidback house tunes by DJ Toby Doman, eating competitions and lucky draws. Saturday Aug 27, 11:30am-4pm. Call 6221-5343 or email reservations@meatliquor.com.sg to make a booking

#2: Park Bench Deli Goes Japanese

You know (and love) them for their tasty PB&J sandwiches. This Saturday, however, Park Bench Deli joins forces with Japanese ale maker Hitachino Nest and casual Japanese restaurant Teppei Syokudo to launch "Koen no Benchi", a full-bodied yuzu golden ale that the brewery created just for the Telok Ayer Street eatery. In tandem with the launch, the grub of the day encapsulates the best of both worlds - like a sandwich containing fish done tataki-style and a tempura-style unagi soft roll. Nothing is priced above $15, so hotfoot it down with your mates and enjoy mixes by local DJs while you're there. Saturday Aug 27, 2pm till late

#3: Superhuman Wellness Retreat

Pop-up dinners are not new, but an eight-hour-long wellness pop-up event is certainly something out of the norm - and it's kicking off this Saturday at Nong@Hort Park, thanks to a collaboration between Brunch Bandits and Edible Garden City. Whether it's a yoga session or a DIY skincare workshop, every activity will drive home the importance of conscious consumption and mindfulness. If you can't commit to attending this for the entire day, there's a brunch-only option available. Saturday Aug 27, 9am-5pm. Buy tickets ($75 for brunch only and $150 for the full day) here.
