Local Underground Club Headquarters Is Saying Goodbye After 10 Years Of Parties
Join the Thugshop crew for a final hurrah at HQ’s 10-hour closing party this May 2026
By Rachel Yohannan,
It’s the end of an era: local underground club Headquarters is having its last dance at the end of the month, as announced in a series of posts via its Instagram page (@headquarters.sg) on the afternoon of May 8, 2026.
This comes shortly after word of impending closures of Haji Lane thrift store Woofie, and local thespian Adrian Pang’s Pangdemonium Theatre, co-run with his wife Tracy. While both businesses are currently still in operation, they’re in the process of a gradual wind-down, and are slated to make a full exit by the end of the year.

With Headquarters’ being one of the pioneers of Singaporean’s underground club scene since 2016, this news comes as a surprise to revellers – especially since the party venue at Boat Quay has been going strong for the past decade.
No reason for the closure has been stated, but a joint statement with party collective Thugshop, which runs HQ, reads: “What a run it’s been. It’s incredibly humbling to look back at how far we’ve come, and it’s all thanks to you. From New Year’s Eve marathons to midweek shindigs that bled into the early morning, we’ve truly seen and lived through it all together.”
Pay your final respects to this techno and EDM hideout with a last hurrah on May 30, 2026 – a 10-hour rave starting from 6pm, with a line-up including the likes of Amber H, Benben, Dez, Emma SS, Joshua Dillon, Meliah, sho&tell, TMDDJ, Vaibs, Vinnie Stew, and plenty more.
“Now, we go out in 10s. 10 hours, 10 [back-to-back] sets, and endless reasons to go harder than ever before,” Headquarters says.
The post ends on a bittersweet note: “This is it, this will be all of our last times here. Forget the sentimentality for now, we can mourn it after. Come and give it your all.”
You heard them. Entry for Headquarters’ final party, This Was The Place: 10 Years Of HQ, is priced at $35 online, and $40 at the door. Get your tickets here. In the meantime, HQ’s roster for May is still ongoing. Check out all their upcoming events here.
