Meatliquor Is The #1 Hangout Spot For Great Music & Yummy Burgers
Meatliquor lives up to its name with carnivore-friendly comfort food and potent cocktails.
By IMRAN JALAL,
The first overseas outpost of the popular British restaurant of the same name, this establishment is a rock star of a joint with bright neon signs (one says “SINgapore”); an old-school photo booth (yep, it works), and irreverent murals by Hampshire-based art collective I Love Dust.
Opened in June, crowds flock here for its indulgent take on burgers that come chock full of sauces and ingredients (be warned: it will get messy) and cheeky names like "Dirty Chicken" and "Dead Hippie". How the Singapore menu is different from the original: It includes dishes with a local twist, like French fries covered in a homemade sambal sauce, alongside a fried egg and crispy onions.
And while the place gets loud, it's really all part of the fun - just like its recently debuted indulgent weekend buffet. Aptly named EATs, BEATs and TREATs, diners can partake of free-flow burgers, specially-created side dishes and desserts while knocking back beers and cocktails (also free-flow) and grooving to British DJ Oliver Osborne's house and techno mixes, all for the very affordable sum of $90++ per person. The next edition is on Jan 16, so book spots quick. 99 Duxton Road, Opens daily from 5pm-12 am, Mon-Wed and 5pm-2am, Wed-Sat.
