We’re only halfway into 2026, and yet Netflix has already given us an abundance of viral shows that we’ve had on repeat. For the hopeless romantics? Jisoo’s K-drama Boyfriend On Demand definitely kept you satisfied. Those suffering from Stranger Things withdrawal had its animated spin-off keeping them occupied in April. And of course, last month’s widely successful horror K-drama If Wishes Could Kill had everyone frightened, but clamouring for more.

6. In the Hand of Dante
Shot partly in black and white, In the Hand of Dante is a film adapted from Nick Tosches’ 2002 novel. The story alternates between two parallel timelines – indicated by black and white scenes for the present and coloured scenes for the 14th century storyline. In the present, a writer is summoned by the mob to steal the original copy of Dante’s Divine Comedy, while a 14th century parallel tale follows the poet creating it.
