The Hermes Fall Winter 2026 womenswear collection, presented at the Garde Republicane during Paris Fashion Week, is a study in dressing for the real world today. Artistic director Nadege Vanhee was inspired by the mysterious period of twilight and, through this enigmatic prism, presented a wardrobe that suggests protection, reliability and strength – values the world, incidentally, needs more of now than ever.

The biker-inflected attitude and key silhouette proposed – clean, body-skimming and precise – are reminiscent of the collections Vanhee produced for Fall Winter 2024 and Fall Winter 2025. In a season when many designers are experimenting with form, the consistency here only reinforces the style of the contemporary Hermes woman: She’s the living embodiment of what it means to be lean and mean.

That’s not to say that Vanhee doesn’t enter uncharted territory. After all, she’s one of the stealthiest names in the business – and Hermes’ theme of the year is the go-getting catchphrase, “Venture beyond”. Ahead, highlights from Hermes’ Fall Winter 2026 collection that beckoned us to venture in for a closer look.

THE KELLY IN A “RAINCOAT”

One of the most talked-about bags on the Hermes Fall Winter 2026 women’s wear runway was the Kelly outfitted in its very own trench-style “coat”. Meet the En Tenue de Paddock, which translates to “in paddock uniform”. What is it exactly? The Kelly accompanied by a removable cover made from water-repellent toile for protection from the elements (both the bag and the cover are sold together). Versions for the Bolide and Plume are also available.

TWILIGHT COLOURS

To evoke the iridescence of the sky between the hours of sunset and sunrise – or, in the words of Hermes, the chiaroscuro of the night sky – Nadege Vanhee gets innovative with her choice of textiles. Lambskin in oxblood red and inky blue comes with a glossy sheen (above, left), while black quilted leather – crafted into the likes of coats – has been subtly treated with glitter to create a patinated effect (above, middle). Mohair wool likewise gets unexpectedly “funky”: The warp and weft are in contrasting colours so that the fabric reflects different tones as one moves under light (above, right). What a sophisticated way of auramaxxing.

LEAN, STRONG, FEMININE

The sexy, skin-tight silhouettes of the 2000s that have been everywhere in the Fall Winter 2026 collections are also present at Hermes. In the hands of Nadege Vanhee, however, slim A-line dresses and jumpsuits take on a decidedly cool, feminine air (think more Mod, less Y2K) with most pieces crafted in leather and defined by sharp shoulders and nipped-in waists. Equally liberating and understatedly youthful: bike shorts that come either knitted or in lambskin – a versatile new foundation piece that works beneath a long, tailored coat as well as it does with sporty separates.

THE POCKET EFFECT

Several garments in Hermes’ Fall Winter 2026 womenswear collection are designed with multiple pockets that lend utility both aesthetically and literally. The fun story behind them: Artistic director Nadege Vanhee drew inspiration from the maison’s playful small leather goods.

THE MULTI-WEAR BAG

A new bag has entered the house of Hermes: a roomy doctor’s-style design (above) that stands out for its spare yet sumptuous curves, as well as an additional handle that allows it to be carried effortlessly as a clutch on its side. As more brands tinker and experiment to give their pieces more legs, this number – with its simple beauty – will certainly travel far.
