Loewe's Holiday Collection Is Quite #Major

Under creative director Jonathan Anderson’s touch, Spanish label Loewe has come to be synonymous with all things whimsical and idiosyncratic in luxury. Its latest Holiday collection, which is now out in stores and on the brand's e-shop, not only reflects that but hams it up with its latest offerings.

Expanding upon a quote, “Simplicity in decoration is one of the essential qualities without which no true richness is possible,” by artist Charles Francis Annesley Voysey, Anderson muses that his latest designs follow a simple premise – that the most thoughtful gifts are the simple but beautiful ones.

So, what can eager shoppers expect this time around? A bounty of small leather goods – wallets, cardholders, tech accessories, and keyrings – bearing the likeness of fruits, insects, and animals; all of which can be attached with an accompanying strap and be worn as a necklace.

However, if these come across as too adorable for one’s tastes, then perhaps consider the miniature, elf-sized Amazona Nano – a fun-spirited take on the refined arm candy. This Holiday collection will debut the Amazona 23 as well, a new size for Loewe's top handle bag originally launched in 1975, prior to its recent revival.

Tapping into Loewe’s penchant to highlight the major works born out of Britain’s 19th-century arts and crafts movement, this collection also celebrates the nature-themed artworks by Voysey, featuring flora and fauna, as well as prints on a selection of the .

Additionally, embroidered ready-to-wear pieces featuring Voysey’s works such as The Owl (1898) can also be found on an intarsia wool cardigan.

And just for good measure, there’s also a nightlife-driven segue juxtaposed amongst it all that spotlights contrasting textures and colours on party-ready statement ensembles – where an electric neon palette mingles about with sequins, lurex, and fluffy shearling on sweaters and dresses.

Not forgetting the gents, there’s a selection of mini-sized offerings including the Puzzle bum-bag, the XS Military Messenger, and Round backpack to choose from.

To make these Loewe offerings a tad more special, there are personalisation services available on-site and online to craft a unique mishmash of artisanal charms, including animals, symbols, initials and numbers to send that special someone a one-of-a-kind message along with the gifts this holiday season.
