The Vibe: White tablecloths and a sparkling white grand piano tell you everything you need to know about the level of grandeur here. Dress to impress – shorts, slippers, and activewear are not allowed.
The Food: Coastal Italian dishes take centrestage, so expect a fair bit of seafood. The Spaghetti Vongole ($38) with clams, squid, and mullet roe, as well as the Gamberoni al Josper aka grilled deep sea prawns ($58) are solid choices. 2. Cavern Restaurant
No need to jet off to Italy’s Insta-viral cave restaurant when you can get a similar experience in the heart of Mandai. Cavern Restaurant is Singapore’s first-ever cave dining experience, inspired by the Mulu Caves in Sarawak. While Rainforest Wild Asia tickets are not required for restaurant access, you might as well make an all-rounded adventure out of the whole thing since you’ve hauled yourself all the way there.
The Vibe: An otherworldly air of adventure, sans the mud, mires, and mosquitoes. Don’t worry, there’s air-con.
The Food: Expect lots of flame-grilled flair – the Caveman’s Meat Skewer ($38), spicy Smoked Pork Rack ($30) and Charcoal-Grilled Lemon Prawn ($32 for four pieces) are some fragrant savoury picks.

3. La Terrace
At the backyard of Claudine sits La Terrace, yet another French concept helmed by chef-owner Julien Royer. This one’s pet-friendly, so if you’re worried about things potentially being awkward with a new flame, perhaps your furkid can tag along to diffuse some of those jitters.
The Vibe: Relaxed yet chic, with a semi-open setting that overlooks Dempsey’s lush hilly greenery.
The Food: No better way to get some sparks going than with some sharing plates, which La Terrace prepares in a homely fashion. You can’t go wrong with the comforting Chorizo and Basil Cake ($18) and Potato Millefeuille and Krystal Caviar ($24), while the Lemon Tart ($14) makes for a refreshing ending.

Here’s another one located within Mandai Wildlife Reserve, but it’s quite the polar opposite of the dark broody Cavern. Fine-dining harvest-to-table restaurant Forage instead has wide floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you gaze out to tranquil waters ahead.
The Vibe: Jungle immersion, but make it fancy.
The Food: What’s in a name? This sustainable establishment uses plenty of botanical ingredients foraged from its own garden, as well as meat and fish from appointed local farms. Menus rotate frequently, based on the best available ingredients at any given time.
What We Recommend: Don’t leave things to the last minute. It pays to book ahead with a window seat request so you can experience that forest-at-your-feet feeling.

A flavour-packed Mediterranean-Balkan feast awaits at Leila. This one’s still very much a hidden gem – unassuming at its storefront, but pulsing with life and music behind its doors.
The Vibe: Seductive, but unintimidating. Terracotta red walls are gently illuminated by the glow of candlelight, while upbeat Arabic club tunes play in the background without feeling intrusive.
The Food: Everything is designed for sharing. Skip the dithering – couples should go straight for the Date Night set ($143 for two). This includes Leila’s warm house-made Kubana Bread and its accompanying spicy condiments, Green Chilli Shrimp, refreshing Nablus (cucumber) Salad, Manseef (minced chicken with hummus), and a choice of two cocktails.

6. 1-Alfaro by Monti
“Alfaro” means “lighthouse” in Italian, and that’s exactly what 1-Alfaro is inspired by. By the same folks behind Monti, this tucked-away date night spot sits on the 34th floor of Labrador Tower – shining like a beacon amidst the industrial steeliness in the vicinity.
The Vibe: Easy and breezy, with endless 360-degree views of ships cruising along in the distance.
The Food: Lovebirds who are into sharing small plates will delight over Italian classics like the Adriatic Red Prawn Tartare Tartlet ($20) and cheesy Fried Cauliflower Florets ($18). Housed in an old colonial building within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, il Giardino is a nature-shrouded Italian restaurant serving classic cichetti-style nosh. Your post-date activity is pretty much settled here, as the natural thing to do afterwards would be to take a romantic slow stroll through the sprawling park.
The Vibe: Mirroring its surroundings, this cosy dining spot is draped full of plants both at its indoor space and shaded alfresco terrace, while twinkling fairy lights set the mood.
The Food: The menu also leans into a similar theme of nature. Alright, we’re cheating a little with this one – LAVO has been around for quite a hot minute. But this sky-high restaurant-bar on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands just got a glow-up, and it’s giving summer in Amalfi.
The Vibe: A dose of coastal Italy in the tropics. Rustic interiors, a swanky bar and lounge, or the open-air terrace – each area in the space sets the scene in its own distinct way. Take your pick.
The Food: Staying true to the theme is a seafood-focused menu that brings the best of shoreside Italian fare, but there are also meaty options like The Meatball ($39) – a giant 500g ensemble of wagyu, veal, Italian pork and whipped ricotta – alongside brick oven pizzas, steaks, and chops. Whether it’s your first or 100th date, 54° Steakhouse is the sort of place that strikes the right balance for couples in any stage. It’s sleek but not stuffy, with comfortable prices that range from $48 to $288 depending on your chosen cut of steak.
The Vibe: Class without the fuss. Despite a polished, dim-lit ambience, this Amoy Street steakhouse remains unpretentious. Nervous Tinderellas will feel right at ease in no time.

Part of the newly opened Hotel Waterloo, Antler & Ember serves up hearty breakfast buffet spreads for staying guests. But come during lunch or dinner, and the tropical-luxe space becomes a setting for elegant set meals and a la carte selections.
The Vibe: We hope you like green, ‘cause there’s lots of it here: misty green furnishing, plants hanging overhead, and views of surrounding shrubbery.
