A Recap of 2025’s Best Celeb Moments
All the stars we fangirled over this year, both IRL and online.
By Kenme Lam EJ,
2025 was a year of cultural chaos in the best possible way. As we wrap up twelve months of celebrity highs and headline-making madness, here are the moments that defined our year.
Shye at Chanel’s FW25 Show in Paris
A pinch-me moment for all of Singapore: when indie darling Shye landed a front-row seat at Chanel’s FW25 show in Paris. Seated among global heavyweights at the Grand Palais, it felt both surreal and richly deserved — a milestone for the young artist, and a proud moment for everyone back home who’s followed her rise.
Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Tour in Singapore
Thirteen years after the Born This Way Ball, Lady Gaga returned to Singapore with a four-night stop on her Mayhem Tour and the region’s Little Monsters turned up hard. With all shows selling out and over 193,000 fans in attendance, it was proof that Mother Monster’s cultural grip remains unmatched.
Lorde Releases ‘Virgin’ After Four-Year Hiatus
June brought the return of another pop luminary: Lorde. Her fourth album, ‘Virgin’, dropped to huge fanfare — complete with what might be the most instantly iconic album cover of 2025. After a four-year disappearance from the scene (save for her feature on Charli XCX’s “girl, so confusing” remix), this comeback was one that we absolutely devoured.
Blackpink Reunites for Deadline World Tour
The internet’s favourite girl group made their long-awaited comeback with the Deadline World Tour, which kicked off in July. In November, we welcomed them back to Singapore for the first time since the Born Pink World Tour in May 2023. Still selling out stadiums across the world, the girls proved that they remain one of the hottest groups around.
Year of the Labubu
And where there is Lisa, there is impact. The Labubu frenzy that dominated 2025 — from the 24-karat gold Labubu to the endless resale wars — can be traced right back to her. These mischievous creatures were everywhere this year, whether you liked them or not.
Charli XCX Gets Hitched
Pop’s brat queen Charli XCX tied the knot with longtime partner George Daniel (of The 1975 fame) this July and every image instantly became Pinterest-worthy. The pair held a small civil ceremony in London before hosting a dreamy Italian wedding in Sicily, Italy. It was every bit the chronically online girl’s dream with Matty Healy, Julia Fox, Gabbriette and Clairo in attendance, just to name a few.
Taylor Swift Becomes A Fiancée
In another union that almost broke the internet, Taylor Swift announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce in August — complete with a ring that instantly spawned thinkpieces, reaction videos and millions of reposts. The Swifties in us? Fully activated.
Marina Bay Sands’ Film Tribute to Singapore
To mark Singapore’s 60th year of independence, Marina Bay Sands released a short film honouring the nation’s spirit. Written by Amanda Lee Koe and directed by Kirsten Tan, it stars Tan Kheng Hua, Pierre Png, Lim Shi An, Jasmine Sokko alongside other homegrown talents. The result: a poetic, heartfelt portrait of Singapore’s identity that made us feel undeniably proud to be Singaporean.
Katseye for Gap
Gap’s “Better in Denim” campaign starring breakout girl group of the year Katseye dominated social feeds for weeks, and for good reason. The choreography, the styling, the absolute chokehold the track had on the internet for weeks after — it was arguably the brand’s best campaign in years, and we couldn’t get enough.
The Devil Wears Prada, IRL
Dolce & Gabbana definitely weren’t hosting the hideous skirt convention when they delivered this iconic crossover during their SS26 show. Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci appeared in the front row in character as Miranda Priestly and Nigel Kipling, and the internet collectively lost its mind. So did we, and we’re now counting down the days till The Devil Wears Prada 2’s release next summer.
V from BTS at Paris Fashion Week
After completing 18 months of military service, V made his highly anticipated public return at Celine’s SS26 show. We were lucky enough to witness it firsthand — and yes, he looked as dapper as ever.
Jungkook Returns for Calvin Klein Campaign
In classic Calvin Klein fashion, they turned up the heat once again with Jungkook’s new denim campaign. It was sexy, sleek and exactly what the brand does best – and what the internet loves most.
Burberry’s Star-Studded Tribute to London
This year, Burberry went all-in with a string of campaigns packed with English charm. Each drop felt like a cheeky love letter to London’s quirks, starring a delightfully unpredictable cast from the likes of model Lucky Blue Smith, actress Olivia Colman and football player Son Heung Min, to even TikTok’s beloved Bus Auntie. Playful, nostalgic and oh-so Burberry, it was definitely one of our favourites this year.
Lando Norris Wins His First F1 World Drivers’ Championship
2025 was also the year F ZINE entered its motorsports era. We caught up with Formula 1’s resident hunk Lando Norris while he was in town for the Singapore Night Race, and the driver just clinched his maiden World Drivers’ Championship title in Abu Dhabi over the weekend. Pretty sweet of us to be his good luck charm, if we do say so ourselves.
Tilda Swinton at the Chanel Cruise 2025/26 Show in Singapore
This one’s personal: meeting the White Witch herself, Tilda Swinton, on home soil. Ethereal, gracious and magnetic — she was everything we imagined and more.
A$AP Rocky is a Chanel Ambassador
A$AP’s appointment as an ambassador of Chanel was one of the year’s best crossovers in our books. Hip-hop’s avant-garde fashion darling teaming up with one of the most storied houses in luxury? Exactly the pairing we’d been waiting for.
Wicked: For Good
One of 2025’s biggest cultural juggernauts, Wicked: For Good, took over all of our screens and social feeds. During its premiere in Singapore, we met the powerhouse cast of 2025’s biggest movie: Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and director Jon M. Chu. This press tour also gave us that meme from Madam Morrible herself (or should we flip it around for the Wicked Witch?), which has lived rent-free in our heads ever since. A truly wicked way to wrap the year.
Looking back, 2025 wasn’t just stacked with headline-worthy pop culture stories — it was a year defined by reinvention and cultural moments that reminded us why we love this chaotic, ever-evolving media landscape to begin with. And if this was the prelude, then we’re already bracing ourselves for what’s to come in 2026.
