SINGAPORE’S BEST NEW CAFES AND RESTAURANTS IN JUNE 2026

1. Between Buns Deli

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Between Buns Deli
Between Buns Deli

What started as a cult sandwich pop-up now has a permanent deli in the CBD, with Between Buns Deli bringing its loaded sandwiches to the Robinson Road lunch crowd. Sandwiches start from $13, with a lineup that includes the fried chicken and cheddar brioche sandwich ($16), tuna melt on sourdough ($14), and 24-hour braised oxtail melt ($23).

The bread is part of the draw: sourdough, brioche, hoagie rolls, and schiacciata all show up across the menu, matched to the fillings. There are also grain bowls, salads, coffee, and bakes – useful for lunches where not everyone wants to commit to a hefty sandwich.

What We Recommend: Skip the lunch rush and come for breakfast instead. From 9am to 11am, there’s the Chicken Sausage & Egg Muffin ($13) or an egg wrap ($12) with Indian-spiced scrambled eggs, hashbrown, and avocado.

Address: #01-01 SBF Center, 160 Robinson Road

2. Lulu’s Lounge

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Lulu’s Lounge
Lulu’s Lounge

Lulu’s Lounge is back this June, though not quite as the old Pan Pacific party den people may remember. The revived venue now sits in Chinatown as a 1930s Shanghai-inspired supper club, bringing together dim sum, cocktails, and a nightly programme of live jazz, cabaret, burlesque, drag, and DJs. There’s no cover charge either, which is almost generous in this day and age.

The menu is made for grazing. Tuck into Oscietra caviar siu mai, Hong Kong prawn toast, crispy duck pancakes, and mala grilled fish skewers. Cocktails are a heady mix of familiar classics and Chinese ingredients, with the likes of jasmine tea-infused vermouth, osmanthus wine, and baijiu.

What We Recommend: Pick your night properly. Saturdays are the full-theatre version – burlesque, drag, and DJs – while Sundays slow down with live jazz and dim sum.

3. Shu Bakery

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Shu Bakery
Shu Bakery

Shu Bakery is a new Kovan bakery-cafe from the Chu and Co team, with the same neighbourhood bakery pull but now stretched into a fuller cafe menu. Look forward to toasts, brunch plates, bakes, and coffee – including the Chu + Shu Toast ($15.50) with chocolate praline, banana, and kaya custard. The savoury side is where it gets more interesting: uni scrambled egg toast ($26), cold stracciatella toast ($17.50) artfully arranged with pickled tomatoes and grapes, and avocado toast ($13) with citrus salt and fresh basil.

What We Recommend: Take the time to sit down and order properly – Shu makes more sense as a full cafe stop, rather than a quick pastry run.

4. Hikiniku To Come

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Hikiniku to Come
Hikiniku to Come

Tokyo chain Hikiniku To Come brings its very committed one-dish format to VivoCity. The signature? Three 90g hamburg patties grilled over charcoal, served one at a time with rice, miso soup, pickles, and condiments. It’s a menu designed for people who don’t need many choices. Each patty lands hot, with rice refills for those especially hungry. You’ll also get a raw egg for the final patty – a small flourish that’ll end your meal with a little richness.

What We Recommend: Sit at the counter if you can. Watching the patties come off the grill one by one is half the appeal.

Address: #01-111 VivoCity, 1 HarbourFront Walk

5. Bouillon Gavroche

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Bouillon Gavroche
Bouillon Gavroche

Bouillon Gavroche is the more casual sibling to Brasserie Gavroche, which has recently opened its doors in Mandarin Gallery. It takes its cue from Parisian bouillons, with French comfort food, a lively dining room feel, and prices that are surprisingly affordable for Orchard. The menu keeps plenty under $30, including cheese ravioli with creamy spinach ($16), pan-seared salmon with ratatouille ($24), and beef bourguignon ($26). Wines by the glass go from $8 too, which lends the whole meal a small French touch.

What We Recommend: End with a cheese board instead of a sweet dessert. It’s $7 for one cheese, $12 for two, or $18 for three – with camembert, Gruyere IGP or Fourme d’Ambert on the board.

6. Cheese Wonder

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Cheese Wonder
Cheese Wonder

Cheese Wonder is at Ion Orchard till 30 June, bringing its frozen no-bake cheesecakes to Singapore in tidy little boxes. The Japanese brand’s signature is beautifully built in layers: cheese mousse, cheese souffle, and an almond cookie base for crunch. It’s very much a texture thing – creamy, airy, crunchy, and cold – all without collapsing into a one-note cheesecake square.

The original is $35.90 for four pieces, or $53.90 for six. There’s also a special strawberry version with a whole Japanese strawberry inside, priced at $42.90 for four pieces.

What We Recommend: Try the original Cheese Wonder three ways: frozen, lightly softened, then fully thawed – it’s designed to be eaten at every stage.

7. Plu Singapore

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Plu Singapore
Plu Singapore

This Thai restaurant from Bangkok comes with a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod and a new home at Goodwood Park Hotel, taking over the former Alma space. It’s the brand’s first outpost outside Thailand, with a menu that goes beyond the usual green curry and tom yum.

Expect regional Thai dishes with a touch of Burmese influence, including Thai-style braised pork belly with five-spice eggs ($32), Burmese tea leaves salad ($20), and blue crab betel leaves curry ($35). If you’re looking for something a little more familiar, there’s also shrimp pad thai ($29) – no judgement.

What We Recommend: Share everything with a heaped plate of rice. Plu is best for a sprawling feast of pork belly, punchy salads, and fried rice.

8. SukiyakiJin

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - SukiyakiJin
SukiyakiJin

SukiyakiJin is Les Amis Group’s new sukiyaki spot at Shaw Centre, built around a rather theatrical A5 wagyu “mountain” hotpot. There’s just the one dish: the Spicy Tomato Mountain Sukiyaki that sets you back $48 per person, with a minimum of two diners. This comes heaving with generous slices of A5 wagyu, vegetables, and a savoury tomato sukiyaki sauce that’s been spiked with chilli padi.

And if the spice isn’t enough, it also comes with fresh chilli padi on the side. To finish, choose between Inaniwa udon or cheese risotto – though with tomato, wagyu drippings, and chilli involved, the risotto wins hands down.

What We Recommend: Save a little broth for the cheese risotto finish. The rice gets cooked down with tomato, wagyu fat, and chilli padi, then you can add a raw egg ($2) or onsen egg ($3) to make an already rich ending even more so.

9. Hem Hem Charcoal Kushiyaki Bar

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Hem Hem Charcoal Kushiyaki Bar
Hem Hem Charcoal Kushiyaki Bar

As a new Tanjong Pagar spot for Japanese skewers, Hem Hem Charcoal Kushiyaki Bar knows its crowd: people looking for great skewers, a steady pour of drinks, and a bit of smoke on the side. It’s led by a head chef formerly from Yatagarasu, so you can expect the skewer menu to go beyond the usual safe bits: negima (thigh, $4.50), tsukune (meatball, $5.50), bonjiri (tail, $4.50), hatsu (heart, $4.50), plus pork belly-wrapped skewers from $4.50.

There’s enough beyond the grill to keep it from becoming a skewer-only dinner. Small plates include chicken liver pate with baguette ($15), charcoal-grilled camembert ($14), and sake-steamed mussels ($12). Drinks are built for this sort of meal too: highballs ($12), Japanese sours ($12), and sake (from $22).

What We Recommend: Start with a few skewers, then order round two. Kushiyaki is best hot off the grill, when the fat is still sizzling and the edges are still crisp.

10. Bibim Deli

New Cafe And Restaurant Picks For June 2026 - Bibim Deli
Bibim Deli

At Bibim Deli, the usual economical rice gets reworked as DIY bibimbap – with chef Min Yohan from Culinary Class Wars behind the kitchen doors. You start with 150g of rice, choose your banchan, then pay by weight. Bowls are $3.88 per 100g, with a 200g minimum. More than 20 banchan types will be on rotation, covering your veggies and proteins for a balanced bowl.

Expect stir-fried shiitake mushrooms with green beans, onion beef bulgogi, soy sauce runny eggs, tteokbokki, and of course, fresh kimchi. There’s also a small retail grocery corner with Korean snacks and pantry items.

What We Recommend: Add the Korean seaweed soup ($2.88). It’s free-flow, and lets you build the bowl around hot rice, a variety of dishes, and a comforting broth.
